* Denotes Municipal Traffic Safety Initiatives (MTSI) or Driving on the Right Side of the Road (DRSR) curriculum funded by a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation.
To open a file, simply click on the green book icon next to each class name. Older or different versions of the internet browser may prompt you to open or download the PDF file first, while newer versions will automatically open the file in a new window. Once the file is opened, locate the print icon to print out the materials. For example, if using the newest versions of Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Acrobat, you can locate the print icon by moving the mouse over the document. It will show up at the bottom center of the page. Other browser windows will have a print option in the main menu or tool bar at the top of the page, and older versions of the PDF reader will have a print icon in either the File menu or in the top tool bar. Note that many of these materials are in color. While you are free to print them in color if you are fortunate enough to have a color printer, we recommend that you set your printer to grayscale or black/white.
If you do not have a PDF reader, you can download one for free here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/
The top three icons contain the information traditionally located in the front of the binders, back when binders were distributed. The agenda can be found in each of these files: Introduction, Course Information, and Faculty Information. Each participant will be given a copy of the agenda and the course information in their packet. If you would like to print out the cover page or participant roster, click on the Introduction file, and if you would like to print out the faculty roster and faculty biographies, click on the Faculty Information file.
We encourage all clerks to review the materials prior to the conference to either print them out or make your own determination as to what materials you would like to print. Most classes include either a copy of the powerpoint presentation, an outline, or interactive notes as the materials that will be covered in the class. Many of the faculty also include supplemental materials, such as forms, charts, or articles. Internet access may not be available at all the schools, but for those who prefer to view the materials over a laptop or tablet computer, we encourage you to download the files prior to coming to the seminar so you are ensured access to them during class. The TMCA/TMCEC Board of Directors has graciously made a flash drive containing the PDF files of all course materials available to each participant at each seminar. Those with a USB port on a laptop computer can also open the files at the seminar through this flashdrive.
